Project Engineer
Job Description- Provide Project Managers and Superintendents with administrative resources as directed.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of Subcontract Agreements & Proposals/Change Orders checklist.
- Monitor, follow-up and review for accuracy of all contract requirements (i.e. insurance certificates, bonds, executed Subcontract Agreements, Change Orders, Requests for Proposals, etc).
- Maintain, compile, organize and analyze project-related documentation. (i.e. submittals, RFI's, CO's)
- Input all contracts and job related information into Expedition.
- Manage and track all documents (i.e. RFI's, COR's, RFP's, CO's, Submittals, Drawings, and correspondences) between office, field and others as directed.
- Comprehensively understand plans, specs, subcontract agreements and execution of them (i.e. general construction activity flow)
- Prepare and assemble Submittals in accordance with contract documents.
- Maintain effective filing systems for all job related documents.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate should be a fast learner that is willing to take it upon her or his self to create an immediate impact within the company is expected.
- Knowledge and experience with construction contracts, as well as general construction activity requirements and flow.
- Strong ability to multi task.
- Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
- Expedition and Master Builder experience a plus.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Ability to maintain contract files and documents with great detail.
- Experience with mechanics liens, stop notices, and legal issues related to construction contracting.
- Self-starter with tact, judgment and a highly developed sense of responsibility.
- Strong organizational skills.
