Project Engineer

Job Description
  • Provide Project Managers and Superintendents with administrative resources as directed.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of Subcontract Agreements & Proposals/Change Orders checklist.
  • Monitor, follow-up and review for accuracy of all contract requirements (i.e. insurance certificates, bonds, executed Subcontract Agreements, Change Orders, Requests for Proposals, etc).
  • Maintain, compile, organize and analyze project-related documentation. (i.e. submittals, RFI's, CO's)
  • Input all contracts and job related information into Expedition.
  • Manage and track all documents (i.e. RFI's, COR's, RFP's, CO's, Submittals, Drawings, and correspondences) between office, field and others as directed.
  • Comprehensively understand plans, specs, subcontract agreements and execution of them (i.e. general construction activity flow)
  • Prepare and assemble Submittals in accordance with contract documents.
  • Maintain effective filing systems for all job related documents.

 

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should be a fast learner that is willing to take it upon her or his self to create an immediate impact within the company is expected.
  • Knowledge and experience with construction contracts, as well as general construction activity requirements and flow.
  • Strong ability to multi task.
  • Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Expedition and Master Builder experience a plus.
  • Must have effective communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain contract files and documents with great detail.
  • Experience with mechanics liens, stop notices, and legal issues related to construction contracting.
  • Self-starter with tact, judgment and a highly developed sense of responsibility.
  • Strong organizational skills.
